Programme Overview

What is WYSE?

WYSE is a community empowerment initiative led by Tamawuta Foundation Ghana. It is broader than a football club and uses sport to create lasting social and economic opportunities.

Starting in the Busunu enclave, with planned expansion across seven targeted municipal and district areas of the Savannah Region, the initiative identifies sporting potential, strengthens youth engagement, and builds disciplined character.

Core Objectives

  • ✓ Identify promising young football talent through school and community activities in Busunu.
  • ✓ Increase girls' and young women's participation in sport through safe, accessible training.
  • ✓ Promote health, wellness, and educational retention through sports mentorship.
  • ✓ Provide clear development pathways for talented players to progress into competitive club football.
Gender Inclusion

Girls & Women in Sport

WYSE seeks to reduce barriers to female sports participation, build self-confidence, and help young women access football coaching, female role models, and healthy sporting lifestyles.

The broader community programme also incorporates youth mentorship, wellbeing workshops, and hygiene education at selected community clinics.

ℹ️ The Blue City FC women's team is currently in planning and not yet operational.
